33 Looking Back 2 • Penang International Science Fair (PISF) organised by Penang Science Cluster Berhad • Motivational camp for form four science students in four selected schools in Penang, held in October 2015 • Academic tuition classes for Additional Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology for form fi ve students in four selected schools in Penang in 2016 • Science and Mathematics Camp for the staffs’ children in September 2016 • Basic Science Activities/Workshop (Basic Electronics, Basic Robotics Activity and Scratch Programming) for a group of Grade 5 students from SK Tandop Besar, Kedah in September 2016 • Various science and mathematics enrichment activities and workshops for school administrators, teachers and secondary school students in Penang During thisperiod, RECSAMhas continued to conduct research, capacity building programmes and community projects involvingschoolsandthecommunitieswe serve. Below are some of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects which closely engage the community: • Four-day science and mathematics camp for orang asli students from SK Pos Dipang, Kampar, Perak in June 2012 • Educational trip to world renowned Matang Mangrove Reserve for staff members and families in March 2011 • Science and Mathematics Camp for 5 selected secondary school students in Penang in June 2014 in partnership with Persatuan Melayu Pulau Pinang with the support of His Excellency T.Y.T Tun Dato’ Seri Utama (Dr.) Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Abbas, Head of State of Penang • SSI (Socio-Scienti fi c Issues) project competition in collaboration with Penang State Government and Penang State Education Department from June to August 2014 • Magic Science Roadshow organised by Penang Science Cluster Berhad and TECHDOME in collaboration with Penang State Government
