Delegates are welcome to savour the cultural delights of Penang. Individual or group tours can be arranged by our professional guides. Charges are not included in the registration fee but the Conference Organising Committee will set up a Tour Desk during registration to assist you to make your personal arrangements.

Some samples of tours offered:

1.     Penang Island Tour

-     Will take you around the island of Penang and will stopover at the fame Kek Lok si Temple, Feringghi Beach, Butterfly Farm, Batik Factory and the rural town of Balik Pulau.

2.     Heritage Trail Tours

-     The Historic City of George Town encompasses a rich collection of historic buildings in various styles. They include the Indo-Malay Palladian style, Anglo Indian Bungalow, Early Shophouses, Early Transitional Style, Early Electicism Shophouses, Sino-Anglo Bungalows, Neo Classical Style, art Deco Style, Early Modern Style, Late Modern Style as well as numerous religious buildings such as mosques, churches Chinese and Indian Temples. These architecture scatter along the many streets of George Town, bearing witness to the evolution of this rustic port city.

3.     Night Bazaar Tours

-     The night Bazaar situated at Batu Feringghi about 45 minutes away from RECSAM offers you a shopper’s paradise of local crafts, including batiks and curios.

4.     Penang by Night

-     Experience the night of Georgetown Penang especially the local food. Do not miss the hawker’s site of Gurney Drive. The sight and smell will tintilates your palates.

5.     Fishing Barramundi and Wolf Herring (Lady fish) on Fly/Lure Casting)

-     If you think you want to experience the tug of a barramundi or the explosive speed of the Herring at the end of your fly line or on lures it just an hour away on a typical Malaysian fish farm.

6.     Shopping Extravaganza

-     From branded good to local batik we have them here in Penang. Just tell what you prefer we take you there to the shopping mall.
