Ms Wong Lai Cheng 2Lai Cheng Wong is the Publication Manager at RECSAM and has been attached to the Centre since 2009. She holds a Master degree in Communication specializing in CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) and a Bachelor in Corporate Communication. Her specializations & interests include communication and dissemination, content strategy, media and public engagement, public relations, corporate communication, leadership practice and development. Her work at RECSAM is situated in the field of writing, reporting, copy-editing and publishing. She has been working with teachers / teacher educators and SEAMEO regional centers across the SEA region to promote her passion to write and publish newsletters, articles and reports to promote scientific, mathematical and environmental literacy for sustainable development. In 2015, Wong was selected as a Professional Fellow to participate in the former U.S. President Barack Obama's YSEALI (Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative) exchange programme funded by the U.S. Department of State in the United States. In 2013, she was selected as a Fellow to represent Malaysia in the Japan Training Program for Young Leaders on Administrative Management funded by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) under the technical cooperation scheme of the Government of Japan. She also holds teaching positions in public and private colleges and universities in Penang. Her work has been published in various publications including, Social Responsibility Journal, Academic Conference on Social Responsibility 2011 and Conference on Corporate Communication 2011 Proceedings. In her personal capacity, Wong is also a travel blogger with special interest in photography.
