Visiting Fellow
The Visiting Fellow is a trainer or researcher experienced in science or mathematics education. The post of Visiting Fellow was created to tap into the expertise of trainers and researchers from Malaysia and other countries that are gainfully employed by their Ministries of Education or Universities and as such are only able to secure release from their place of work for short periods of time.

Details
1. The duration of the tenure will normally be for a minimum of two months to a maximum of six months
2. During the tenure, the Visiting Fellow will be paid an allowance depending on their seniority and experience. The Visiting Fellow will also be provided with free accommodation (a room in the International House or staff quarters)
3. The Visiting Fellow will either be emplaced in the Research and Development Division or the Training Programme Division 
4. The Visiting Fellow is required to produce an output. The form of the output is to be negotiated with an academic staff from SEAMEO RECSAM prior to participating in this programme 
5. The minimum qualifications of the Visiting Fellow are as follows:
a. Have a Master’s degree in the relevant area 
b. First degree must be either in science / mathematics / educational technology or in subjects related to science, mathematics 
c. Excellent command of written and spoken English 
d. Ten years of experience in teaching (Candidates with less experience but active in their fields may be considered)
e. Experienced in conducting research & development studies 
6. Travel costs incurred on assuming the post will be paid for the most economical route and method of travel, whether by land, sea, or air, together with a fixed daily allowance for the period of travel. The maximum travel cost (with receipt) and allowance payable is RM 3,000 for tenure of six months and above. For tenures less than six months the maximum amount payable is RM 500 for every complete months served
