There were study visits to the African continent in 2008 to market RECSAM’s programmes to educators in Kenya, Uganda, Malawi, Tanzania, Rwanda, Lesotho, Swaziland and Nigeria during this period. In fact there was a marked increase in the intake for customised courses for participants from the African region. The Centre’s ICT developmental phase was given an additional boost with the upgrading of computer laboratories and IT support systems in all divisions. The contribution from EPSON (Malaysia) and the acquisition of digital display systems further raised the ef fi ciency levels of the Centre’s capabilities, in tandem with the rapid advances that took place during that period. This period alsowitnessed the celebration of the Centre’s 40 th Anniversary in 2007.
