118 Mr. Daud Khairiree Former Staff (1977 to 2011) SEAMEO RECSAM There Are No Strangers at RECSAM…. There are no strangers at RECSAM but friends that you have not met. During those days RECSAM was a home to a diverse populace of participants not only from Southeast Asian Countries but from the Commonwealth and Paci fi c Islands. During those days, we organised sporting and outdoor activities such as volleyball games, jogging competitions, hiking activities to Penang Hill or Pantai Kerachut, picnics etc. We organised cultural shows, where each country would present their best cultural performance. Without doubt we do the things we did then by the saying “There are no strangers at RECSAM but friends you have not met” Mr. Dominador Dizon Mangao Staff (Research & Development Division) SEAMEO RECSAM It is as if fate led me to serve SEAMEO RECSAM for 10 purposeful years and counting one of the many reasons that kept me at RECSAM is the support, care and understanding of every single administrative and professional staff. Everyone is a brother and sister to me and RECSAM is my big happy family. I am so fortunate to have worked at both the Training Programme Division and Research & Development Division within 10 years. I wish to convey my sincere congratulations to SEAMEO RECSAM for its steadfast role in advancing science and mathematics for the past 50 years, transforming the educational landscape by equipping the teachers with the current and relevant 21 st century pedagogies and by inspiring them in their quest in producing leaders in science and technology, engineering and mathematics in the Southeast Asian region. May SEAMEO RECSAM be showered with more support from its benefactors, alumni and stakeholders to continue its glory as the leading Centre of Excellence in Science and Mathematics education in the region for many more years to come! Ms. Fathillah Binti Ishak Former Staff (1969 to 2005) SEAMEO RECSAM My tenure with RECSAM was from 1969 – 2005. Most of my life and time was with RECSAM. It was more of a second home to me. Multitasking was more than a pleasure back then. That was how I gathered my experience with fond memories. Opportunities given by RECSAM were tremendously great... How could I forget the fond memories and opportunities RECSAM had offered to me? It may seem small but to me it was once in a lifetime experience! Something money cannot buy! Tears, laughter, ups and downs are all embedded in my mind and heart. Thank you RECSAM for making my journey in life worthy & meaningful. Working then was more of a pleasure; everybody was part of a family. Part of my life, growing up, to know the world and values are all taught in RECSAM. After leaving RECSAM for almost 12 years, I felt like I am still part of it. Thank you RECSAM, thank you to all my superiors and staff for making my working life memorable and awesome. I cannot repay except by praying to God to bless everyone. I have not contributed everything to RECSAM but on the contrary, it has given me experience and all the trades of life.
