The beaming faces of the participants at the end of the course and messages of appreciation was most ful fi lling and speaks volumes about the quality of training and the dedication of the RECSAM team to give only their best. I treasure the great camaraderie among my team at Training Programme Division and appreciate the friendship of the RECSAM family. The Centre had provided a platform for me to widen my experience in the regional and international arena and opportunity to develop professionally. I thank RECSAM for this unique experience and wish RECSAM all the success for many years to come. Madam Renuka D/O Selvaraju Staff (Administrative Division) SEAMEO RECSAM Ideal Working Place for Better Life Quality My colleagues call me Renu. I am 45 years old and have been attached to this Centre for the past 18 years. I came to RECSAM in my early 20’s, thinking that this place would be an ideal place for me to earn a living for a better quality of life. Throughout my 18 years here, RECSAM has shaped me professionally and intellectually. I started working in RECSAM as a housekeeper, where I was based at the International House. Later on, I was transferred to the Admin Division where I served as a dispatch assistant and today, I am attached to RECSAM as a telephone operator. The opportunities and trusts that the Centre has given me have let me developed and contributed in ways I would never have imagined. Thank you RECSAM. Ahmad Former Staff (1972 to 2002) SEAMEO RECSAM Experience Come Along with Opportunities Working at RECSAM had gained me with lots of experience. As a staff, we had the opportunities to mix with international consultants and participants who came from all around the world particularly the Southeast Asian countries. I had the opportunity to exchange history, culture and the way of life with the diverse people that I’ve met at RECSAM. Working in RECSAM had also taught me how to be patience and tolerate differences in opinions especially with staff. I also had the opportunity to learn about science and mathematics.
