viii Foreword Since its inauguration in 1967, SEAMEO RECSAM has come a long way and grown tremendously. Throughout the years, SEAMEO RECSAM has relentlessly continue to enhance Science and Mathematics education in the region and have embarked on new journey that goes beyond Southeast Asia. Capturing multiple attention in multicontinent all over the globe, SEAMEO RECSAM has consistantly inspire countless teachers and educators to become catalyst of change in transforming Science and Mathematics education in the region. With the motto “Passion for Learning”, SEAMEO RECSAM will continue to strive and forges ahead to become the leadingCentre for quality Science and Mathematics education in the world. With dedicated staff and support from the Ministry of Education of all SEAMEO member countries, SEAMEO RECSAMwill continue its journey in many years to come. This 50 th celebration is dedicated to all of those who have been part of RECSAM family; the staff, the alumni, the resource persons, the Ministries, the course participants, the Science and Mathematics teachers and educators who have been with us throughout the journey and inspired to provide quality Science and Mathematics education for our future generation. I would like to thank all the staff of the Centre from the very beginning till today who have contributed in numerous ways developing by the Centre Director of SEAMEO RECSAM SEAMEO RECSAM.
