78 In the recent years, colloquium is a regular activity of RECSAM that is undertaken by R & D Division to share the latest educational reforms as well as developments in science and mathematics education to the teachers in Penang without fee. This is one of the sharing platforms conducted by RECSAM to ful fi ll its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to the public. Seminars and fora were initiated in the 1980s and 1990s while colloquia started in early 2000. Current, relevant and emerging topics as Sharing of Expertise/Information to the Public Through Seminar, Forum, Colloquium and Special Camp for School and Community well as issues in science andmathematics education are usually discussed. These avenues were also used for presentation by foreign experts and consultants from within as well as beyond SEAMEO region such as Africa, Australia, Canada, Estonia, India, Japan, Middle East, The Centre’s colloquium series draw renowned speakers from around the world, as well as providing an opportunity for our own Specialists to present and share their knowledge on science and mathematics education
